Waterwise Garden Competition 2004

The Waterwise Garden Competition was again in full swing this year with 35 entries.

$1400 worth of Waldecks-Kalgoorlie gardening vouchers and 7 trailer loads of mulch donated by the Water Corporation were available to be won.

Typically those gardens that were successful had little or no lawn, had a variety of Waterwise and local native plants on drip type reticulation, and were weed free. The gardens that had an attractive layout and were using coarse environmentally friendly mulch were also held in high regard.
