Waterwise Garden Competition 2006

Kalgoorlie-Boulder's annual Waterwise Garden Competition 2006 was again hotly contested with entrants vying for $1200 worth of Waldecks-Kalgoorlie gardening vouchers and 6 trailer loads of mulch donated by the Water Corporation.

Typically those gardens that were successful had little or no lawn, a variety of Waterwise and local native plants on drip type reticulation and were weed free. The gardens that had an attractive layout and used coarse, environmentally friendly mulch were also held in high regard.
