Every year KBULG holds the Kalgoorlie- Boulder 'Bag a Biter' Caltrop Weed Competition. Participants are encouraged to collect as much caltrop as possible and as an incentive particpants are rewarded with 50c per kilogram of caltrop collected.The competition allows KBULG to educate the wider community on Caltrop whislt encouraging them to control this nasty weed. The competition has been adopted by other towns and community groups.
